New Habits: Elements of Habit Creation

Writing anything was effortless for me some years ago, but now it feels like a daunting task. To get perspective, I started to review my motivations and inspirations back then. Why it was so easy for me to write anything back then. After thinking for sometime, I figured there were many elements helping me write…

FutureMe: E-mail To Your Future Self

Some days ago, I received an e-mail for myself that I wrote some years ago. It was approximately 3 years ago. I was surprised. First of all, I never thought I'd ever get that e-mail. Even if I did, I already forgot about it. I wrote that and forgot about it. But I did give…

Write Anyway

I clicked on write a new post some time ago, and closed that window because I didn't want to write anything. I want to, but I can't. After sometime, I was like, "I don't want to write, but let's write anyway." It's like there's something stopping me from writing. Maybe my fear of writing a…

Build Habits First

2016 started and I missed the first two days of blogging. Usually I freak out if I won't write anything on the first two days of the new year. It would  be a great start of the year and help me kick start my daily writing habits. But I removed those possibilities by not writing…

Choosing New Theme For This Blog

I am choosing new theme for this blog. I originally had the default twentyfifteen WordPress theme. Before I even had this domain, I was inspired by Caroline Moore. She has a personal blog where she posts everything about her daily life. She blogs at When I looked at her blog, I loved it. That's when…

Improving Along with the Blog

I hate the blog post I wrote yesterday. It was uninteresting, had no underlying lessons, and was just a waste of a blog post. However, I don't regret it though. My first instinct was to delete the post, or write again. I didn't do both. Instead, I thought of posting it as it is. It's…

Celebrating Small Milestones

Today I officially reached 1000 Instagram posts. It has been a long journey of sharing my creativity through Instagram. I've learned a lot about sharing. One thing that's different from other Instagram users is that I don't follow anyone.  The reason is because I want to focus more on producing than consuming. The more I…

The Paradox of Our Times

The paradox of our times
Is that we have taller buildings, but shorter tempers
Wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints
We spend more, but we have less.

We have bigger houses, but smaller families
More conveniences, but less time.
We have more degrees, but less sense
More knowledge, but less judgement
More experts, but more problems
More medicines, but less wellness.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values.
We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often
We have learnt how to make a living, but not a life.
We have added years to life, but not life to years.
We've been all the way to the moon and back
But have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbour.
We have conquered outer space, but not inner space.
We've cleaned up the air, but polluted our soul.
We've split the atom, but not our prejudice.
We've higher incomes, but lower morals.
We've become long on quantity but short on quality.

These are the times of tall men, and short character;
Steep profits, and shallow relationships.
These are the times of world peace, but domestic warfare,
More leisure, but less fun; more kinds of food, but less nutrition.

These are the days of two incomes, but more divorces;
Of fancier houses, but broken homes.
It is a time when there is much in the show window, and nothing in the stockroom.

A time when technology can bring this letter to you,

And a time when you can choose,

Either to make a difference .... or just hit, delete.

Stop Craving Short Term Satisfaction

The only time we regret our action is when it's not yielding the result we want in the long run. My friend had birthday some days ago. After celebrating his birthday, we thought of eating cakes. There was a store nearby which offered 40% discount after 8 PM. It was already 9:30 PM when we…

The Initial Step

The initial step is the most important because it has the power to determine the course of our destination. In the same way, I have been thinking of the initial step in writing regularly. Today morning, I had an idea, I knew I was going to write about it. But I can't write about…
