Celebrating Small Milestones

Today I officially reached 1000 Instagram posts. It has been a long journey of sharing my creativity through Instagram. I've learned a lot about sharing. One thing that's different from other Instagram users is that I don't follow anyone.  The reason is because I want to focus more on producing than consuming. The more I…

The Paradox of Our Times

The paradox of our times
Is that we have taller buildings, but shorter tempers
Wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints
We spend more, but we have less.

We have bigger houses, but smaller families
More conveniences, but less time.
We have more degrees, but less sense
More knowledge, but less judgement
More experts, but more problems
More medicines, but less wellness.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values.
We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often
We have learnt how to make a living, but not a life.
We have added years to life, but not life to years.
We've been all the way to the moon and back
But have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbour.
We have conquered outer space, but not inner space.
We've cleaned up the air, but polluted our soul.
We've split the atom, but not our prejudice.
We've higher incomes, but lower morals.
We've become long on quantity but short on quality.

These are the times of tall men, and short character;
Steep profits, and shallow relationships.
These are the times of world peace, but domestic warfare,
More leisure, but less fun; more kinds of food, but less nutrition.

These are the days of two incomes, but more divorces;
Of fancier houses, but broken homes.
It is a time when there is much in the show window, and nothing in the stockroom.

A time when technology can bring this letter to you,

And a time when you can choose,

Either to make a difference .... or just hit, delete.

Stop Craving Short Term Satisfaction

The only time we regret our action is when it's not yielding the result we want in the long run. My friend had birthday some days ago. After celebrating his birthday, we thought of eating cakes. There was a store nearby which offered 40% discount after 8 PM. It was already 9:30 PM when we…

The Initial Step

The initial step is the most important because it has the power to determine the course of our destination. In the same way, I have been thinking of the initial step in writing regularly. Today morning, I had an idea, I knew I was going to write about it. But I can't write about…

Outlet For Your Work

Having an outlet for your work is extremely important. Especially, if you work on a creative field. I don't work much on a creative field except for web designing. However, for the past few months, I have been interested in photography. I learned how to use a DSLR, and started taking lots of pictures. There's…

Rolling Back To How It All Started

I didn't have any writing habits before 2012, that was before I met Niall. I did start a free blog on WordPress with an idea to collect quotes. I received that idea from my Facebook friend Tyler Clatanoff. He had made a website named WisdomHappy.com--which doesn't exist anymore--which he used to collect his favourite quotes.…

Writing Back Again

It's been a long time since I have not written anything on my blog. My writing went downhill after the earthquake. Due to the earthquake, I couldn't dedicate myself to the blog or my interests. I'm hoping to improve that. This used to be my sacred place where I would share my life and views…

Fill Dead Time

Today I was waiting for someone and had to fill in dead time. Most of the time, we waste those dead time. We either complain about the person making us wait for a long time, or do nothing beneficial. Anyway, today I was waiting and I had lots of time to kill. I thought about…

What Really Matters For Winning

Some people get angry before they even start fight in boxing. If you play to feed your ego or your anger, then what’s the point in winning? You’ve lost the game before you even play it. I’m guilty myself for trying to win Football/Basketball match to feed my ego. Or to show the other team…
